Pretty in Purple Days also benefits community-based initiatives that:
- Heighten awareness on the root causes of domestic abuse.
- Mobilize salon professionals, volunteers and survivors to help break the silence, break the cycle and save lives.
- Educate the general public on ways to prevent domestic abuse before
it starts.
Beneficiaries:

Purple Ribbon Council
Founded in August 2006, Purple Ribbon Council’s mission is to engage
more people in the work of preventing domestic abuse. We meet this mission
through turn-key grassroots efforts, such as Pretty in Purple Days,
that engage community members, heighten awareness, educate on root causes,
and reach out to the most silent and under-served victims and survivors
of domestic abuse. Our ultimate goal is to Break the Silence, Break
the Cycle, Save Lives.
